I'll solve the second and you can solve the first as the process is exactly the same -- always solve for y. By adding y to both sides in the first equation of the second problem, we get x=y%2B3. Now subtract 3 from both sides to gety=x-3. For the second equation, add 6x to both sides to get 6y=6x%2B17. Now divide both sides by 6 to get y=x%2B17%2F6. Because both equations have the same slope of 1, we know they will be parallel lines. Graphing both lines: graph%28300%2C300%2C-5%2C5%2C-10%2C10%2Cx-3%2Cx%2B17%2F6%29
