Question 517026: 10th Grade Geometry heres the question:
given points A(-4,-9) and B(7,-6) find AB, the length of line segment AB.
What formula (if needed) do I use to find the answer?
*note: I tried using (X1+X2),(Y1+Y2) divided by two, but then I only ended up with one point.
My teacher gave us the answer in class it's 11.4 and 12.52 I just dont know how to get there.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distance between two points
x1 y1 x2 y2
d= sqrt%28%28y2-y1%29%5E2%2B%28x2-x1%29%5E2%29
-4 -9 7 -6
d= sqrt%28%28%09%09-6%09-%09-9%09%29%5E2%09%2B%09%28%097%09-%09-4%09%29%5E2%09%29
d= sqrt%28%28%09%093%09%29%5E2%09%2B%09%28%0911%09%29%5E2%09%29
d= sqrt%28%28%09%09130%09%29++%09%29
d= 11.40
