Question 516766: Hello,
My son is in 7th grade pre-algebra. We are trying to find what "negative two-thirds times two equals". He then must label a graph with this point. Normaly we would turn this fraction into a decimal. 2 divided by 3 equals ? Then times 2. But I do not understand the negative and the answer we're getting will not work on the graph. I would really appreciate your help if I've given you enough information. Thank you, Andy Answer by Earlsdon(6294) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! First, since you are multiplying a negative number () by a positive number (), your answer will be negative.
Now this can be graphed on a number line spaces to the left of zero.
