You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let
Present age of Karen = k
Present age of Bill = b

The sum of their ages is 65
k+b=65
k=65-b................(1)
Karen is 5 years older than twice the age of Bill
k=2b+5................(2)
Put the value of k from (1) to (2)
65-b=2b+5
-b-2b=5-65
-3b=-60
-3b/-3=-60/-3
b=20
Put the value of b in (1)
k=65-b
k=65-20
k=45

Present age of Karen = k = 45 years old
Present age of Bill = b = 20 years old
