Question 515165: if the number of words that a word processing student can type in one minute is represented by the formulae W=35m+12 where m is the number of minutes and W is the number of words, how long would it take a student to type a 3000 word essay?
I think that they have made a mistake in the question because It does not make sense I think it is an error and meant to go M = 35w + 12.
Can you please help me work out this equation. Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Given:
W=35m+12
set W to 3000 and solve for m:
3000=35m+12
2988=35m
2988/35 = m
85.4 minutes = m
