You can put this solution on YOUR website! In a bicycle race, Miss Muffet gives Mary Contrary a 500m advantage. Also, Miss Muffet agrees to start 15 minutes after Mary Contrary.
 Now, just as the race began, Miss Muffet saw a spider near her tuffet, and took off at 17km/h.
 Mary Contrary takes off at 14km/h.
 How long will it take Miss Muffet to overtake Mary Contrary.
 :
 The way I interpret all this nonsense is they both took off at the same time, with Contrary starting 500 m ahead of Muffet
 :
 We are using km/h, change 500 m to .5 km
 :
 Let t = time required for M to overtake C
 :
 Write a distance equation: Dist = speed * time
 :
 M's dist = C's dist + 500m
 17t = 14t + .5
 17t - 14t = .5
 3t = .5
 t =
  t = .167 * 60 = 10 minutes (changed hrs to minutes)
