Question 514101: what does parallel thirds and modulation mean in like a sentence for misc?
Answer by richard1234(7193) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Parallel thirds simply 3rd chords (e.g. C-E, F#-A#) that may move up or down the piano (or whatever instrument) "parallel" to each other.
A modulation is simply a sequence of chords that "modulates" or changes to a different key. There are many types of modulations, and modulations can go to a variety of keys.
