Thank you. This question is from textbook Introductory Algebra
You can put this solution on YOUR website! X+(1/3)X=8
To get rid of the fractions, multiply thru by the common denominator
or least common multiple of the denominators, as follows:
Multiply thru by 3 to get:
3x+x=24
4x=24
x=6
