You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1.) sin < 0, tan < 0, what quadrant will both be in? 2.) Find the exact value of tan theta, given that sin theta = -1/6 and theta is in quadrant IV.
 **
 1.) sin<0 in quadrants III and IV. tan<0 in quadrants II and IV.
 Therefore, sin and tan will be in quadrant IV
 ..
 2.) sinx=-1/6=opposite side/hypotenuse
 by Pythagorean Theorem, adjacent side=√(6^2-1)=√(36-1)=√35
 tanx=opposite side/adjacent side=-1/√35=-√35/35
