Here is what i have tried so far

90-x = compliment of angle
180-x =suppliment of angle
180-x= 2(90-x)+40
180-x=180-2x+40
180-x=220-2x
180+2x=110
2x=55
I think my set up is wrong could u please show me the correct set up and answer

Your setup is 100% CORRECT:)
However you did wrong right here:
180 - x = 220 - 2x
2x - x = 220 - 180
x = 40 is what you needed.
Check:
180 - 40 = 2(90 - 40) + 40
140 = 2(50) + 40
140 = 100 + 40
140 = 140 (checked)
