Question 511322: Hi I am having issues with coming up with a formula for my assignment. the question is: If the width of a rectangle is ten inches and the length is four less than three times the width, what is the perimeter? I tried P=3%2810-4%29 but it just did not seem right. I also tried P=3%2810%29-4 but that seemed too simple. If you could please let me know if either one is right. If not could you help me come up with a new formula? Thank you!!!

W = 10, L = 3*10 - 4

P = 2W + 2L
P = 2*10 + 2*(3*10 - 4)
P = 20 + 52
P = 72
