Question 510122: 1. Find the slope of the line that passes through (-4,-8) and (-4,2).
I was thinking its zero but "undefined" is also a choice.
2. Find the slope of the line that passes through (-4,2) and (2,2).
Again, I think its either zero or "undefined"

The slope is a fraction -- the difference of the y-coordinates divided by the difference of the x-coordinates. How do you describe a fraction with a denominator of zero?

For your second problem, what is the value of a fraction where the numerator is zero?
