Question 509200: JET A TRAVELS AT 400 MPH
JET B TRAVELS AT 200 MPH
IF THEY ARE 300 MILES APART WHEN WILL THEY MEET IF THEY FLY TOWARDS EACH OTHER? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
If the two aircraft are flying directly towards one another, it doesn't matter whether one is going 200 mph and the other 400 or if one is parked on the tarmac and the other is going 600 mph. So the question becomes a simple matter of: How long does it take to travel 300 miles at 600 miles per hour?
