#1 14x + 2y = 10
x - 5y = 11
Use the 2nd equation for substitution
x = (5y + 11)
Replace x in the 1st equation
14(5y+11) + 2y = 10
70y + 154 + 2y = 10
70 + 2y = 10 - 154

use the 1s equation to find x
14x + 2(-2) = 10
14x = 10 + 4
