Question 508293: The graph of f passes through (-7,6) and is perpendicular to the line that has x-intercept of 6 and a y-intercept of -54.. put it in slope intercept form Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The x intercept point (6,0)
Y intercept point (0,-54)
slope of this line = -54/-6 = 9
the slope of line perpendicular to this line will have slope of -1/9
( negative reciprocal)
(-7,6 ) slope = -1/9
Find b by plugging the values of m & the point in
y=mx+b
6 = 0.78 + b
b= 47/9
m= - 1/9
The required equation is y=- 1/ 9 x + 47/ 9
