Question 50813: The question is asking "What is the largest three digit number that is divisible by both nine and seven?" At first I tried to multiply nine and seven and that is obviously not the correct answer because it is not a three digit number, other than this, I have no idea where to begin to find the solution to this problem? Do you have any idea? Thank you! Answer by darq(90) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 9*7=35
you had finished the first step
now you have to n times 35 which is smaller than 1000
divide 1000 to 35
ignore the remainder; it is 28
so you need to multiply 35 with 28
980 is the answer
