Question 507484: Can someone please help me here? I am so confused, I am seeing so many different formulas, I have no idea where to start.
1. A set of 50 data values has a mean of 15 and a variance of 36.
Find the standard score of a data value = 30
I'm hoping someone will help me, I've posted 7 different questions in the past week for help, and only 1 was responded to. I'm looking for help to understand, not for someone just to do my work. I want to understand this please. Please explain this step by step so I can the rest of my problems on my own. Thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1. A set of 50 data values has a mean of 15 and a variance of 36.
Find the standard score of a data value = 30

standard deviation = sqrt(36) = 6
----
z(30) = (30-15)/6 = 15/6 = 2.5
