You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Anything parallel to -3x-12y = -16 is of the form -3x-12y = C where C is any number


Since the line passes through the point ( -9 , 6 ), we know that x = -9 and y = 6


So plug this info in to solve for C


-3x-12y = C

-3(-9)-12(6) = C

27 - 72 = C

-45 = C

C = -45

So the equation of the parallel line is -3x - 12y = -45
