Are you sure it is 4 times the square root of this quantity? Without seeing the problem written, my guess is that you mean the 4th root of this quantity.

This is the difference:
4 times the square root: 4%2A+sqrt%2881x%5E6%2Ay%5E8%29+
Fourth root of quantity: root%284%2C+81x%5E6%2Ay%5E8%29

The square root is easiest so I'll do what you asked:

First, you will have to know that 81 is a perfect square (9^2=81), and when you take square roots of variables raised to a power, you must divide the exponents by 2. Now,
