The angle between the equal side of an isosceles
triangle is 40.find the other two angles.

The base angles of an isosceles triangle
are equal, so we can label each of them
with the same unknown x°.

To get the equation, we use the fact that the sum
of the three angles of a triangle always have sum
equal to 180°.

x° + x° + 40° = 180°

   x + x + 40 = 180

      2x + 40 = 180

           2x = 140

            x = 70

The other two angles are 70° each.
