The other tutor misunderstood that A,B,C, and D are the
letters on the spinner.

The conditional probability of X given Y is given by the formula:

          P(X and Y)
P(X|Y) = ------------
             P(Y)

              P(C and not B)
P(C|not B) = ---------------
                P(not B)

P(C and not B) = P(C) = 1%2F10

P(not B) = 1 - P(B) = 1 - 1%2F5 = 5%2F5 - 1%2F5 = 4%2F5

              P(C and not B) 1%2F10
P(C|not B) = --------------- = -------- = 1%2F10%22%F7%224%2F5 = 1%2F10%22%22%2A%22%225%2F4 = 1%2F8
                P(not B) 4%2F5
