Question 504624: What is the sum of the first 50 terms of the arithmetic sequence 6,11,16,21...
Answer by Maths68(1474) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 6,11,16,21...
We will use the following formula
s= n/2[2a+(n-1)d]
where
s = sum of sequence= ?
n = number of terms = 50
a = value of first term = 6
d = difference between two terms = 5
Plug in the values in the formula
s=50/2[2(6)+(50-1)5]
s=250[12+(49)5]
s=250[12+245]
s=250(257)
s=64250
Sum of first 50 terms of above sequence = 64250
