Question 503675: If you have $2.80 and you have the same number of dimes as you have quarters, how many coins do you have? Write an an equation or inequality to model the situation. (I can decide mentally that it is 8 coins each = 16 total coins. But I can't figure an equation.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = number of quarters,
and also number of dimes
+25x+%2B+10x+=+280+ in cents
+35x+=+280+
+x+=+8+
I'm not sure this is what they want, though
