Question 500854: Betsy has $137 in her checking account. She writes a check for $111, makes a deposit for $60, and then writes another check for $88. What is the balance of her account?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The balance of her account = $137
She withdraws $111 = $137-$111
Her new balance amount will be = $26
She deposits $60 = $26+$60
Her new balance amount will be = $86
Then she writes a check for $88 ?
Bank will not honor her check for $88 because she has only $86 in her account!!!!
However If the Bank is kind enough to honor her check, balance of her account will be = $86-$88 = -$2
