You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/n-1/4=1/12-5/3
3/n=1/12-5/3+1/4
3/n=1/12-20/12+3/12
3/n=-16/12
n=-16/12*3/1
n=48/12
n=4
Don't for get about common denominators.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3%2Fn+-+1%2F4+=+1%2F12+-+5%2F3
add 1/4 to both sides
3%2Fn+-+1%2F4%2B1%2F4+=+1%2F12+-+5%2F3%2B1%2F4
3%2Fn+=+1%2F12+-+5%2F3%2B1%2F4
LCD of the equation is 12n
Multiply equation by 12n
3%2A12n%2Fn+=+1%2A12n%2F12+-+5%2A12n%2F3%2B1%2A12n%2F4
36=n-20n+3n
36=-16n
n=-9/4
