Todd spent = x$
Matt spent = (x-25)$
Jeff spent = 3(x-25)$
all together Todd, Matt and Jeff Spent = 375
Todd+Matt+Jeff=375
x+(x-25)+3(x-25)=375
x+x-25+3x-75=375
5x-100=375
5x=375+100
5x=475
Divide by 5 both sides
5x/5=475/5
x=95
Todd spent = x$=95$
Matt spent = x-25=95-25=70$
Jeff spent = 3(x-25)=3(95-25)=3*70=210$
Todd+Matt+Jeff=375
95+70+210=375
375=375
