Question 497915: The second angle of a triangle measures 10degrees more than the first angle. The third angle measures of 30degrees less than twice the second angle. What are the measures of the three angles? Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! A = x
B = x + 10
C = 2(x + 10) - 30
====================================================
x + x + 10 +2(x + 10) -30 = 180
x + x + 10 + 2x + 20 - 30 = 180
4x = 180
x = 45 degrees. This is the first angle.
==================================================
A = 45 degrees
B = 45 + 10 = 55
B = 55 degrees
C = 2(55) - 30 = 80 Degrees,
C = 80 degrees.
This does check.
