You can put this solution on YOUR website!
how do i solve
the square root of 3x-3 minus the square root of x plus 5 = 6
**
√(3x-3)-√(x+5)=6
isolate one of the radicals
√(3x-3)=6+√(x+5)
square both sides
3x-3=36+12√(x+5)+x+5
isolate radical
12√(x+5)=2x-44
square both sides
144(x+5)=4x^2-176x+1936
144x+720=4x^2-176x+1936
4x^2-320x+1216=0
x^2-80x+304=0
use quadratic formula or factor
(x-4((x-76)=0
x=4
or
x=76
