At the top (the lines are horizontal and the transversal is vertical) i have to find the measure of an angle coming of the top parallel line. The information i have to find it is that it equals 4x-30. How should i do this??

Usually in these problems, they give you some form of a corresponding angle.

Either you didn't give all of the information that is on the diagram, or this problem cannot be solved.

However, you can use these facts:

Vertical angles are equal. Opposite exterior and opposite interior angles are equal. The sum of supplementary angles is 180.
