Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 1
Multiply (2) by -2
-2 x 6 y = -12
-2 x -6 y = 6
Add the two equations
-4 x = -6
/ -4
x = 1.50 OR 1 1/ 2
plug value of x in (1)
-2 x + 6 y = -12
-3 + 6 y = -12
6 y = -12 + 3
6 y = -9
y = -1.50 OR
