2x^2 = 48
x^2= 24
x = 4.9 2x = 9.8
4.9 * 9.8 = 48.02, approx. 48 sq inches.
2(4.9) + 2(9.8) = 9.8 + 19.6 = 29.4 sq inches perimeter.
