You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A at 11:30 A.M. CST to arrive in city B at 3:00 P.M. PST.
If the plane flies at an average rate of 532 1/3 mph, what distance does it travel.
:
Convert PST to CSt: 3 pm = 5 Pm
Convert to the 24 hr clock, 5 PM = 17:00
:
Find the elapsed time from 11:30 to 17:00
17:00 - 11:30 = 5:30 min, convert this to 5.5 hrs
:
Find the dist: dist = speed * time
532.33 * 5.5 = 2927.83 miles
