Not only do I need to write the answer but also I have to explain HOW I ARRIVE TO THAT RESULT. 
So, please, it would be very helpful if I could give me the equation needed to solve it, the result, and the explanation.

Tom and John share some grapes.  The expressions  g and 29 - g  represent how many grapes each they ate. 
How many grapes did they share? EXPLAIN.

You can  put this solution on YOUR website! According to what I can see. The maximum amount that they could have shared is 29. That is why in one of them will eat "g" and the other one "29-g".
