You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + 2x + 12 = 180
3x = 168
x = 56 degrees the angle
180 =56 = 124 degrees the supplement.
124 - 12 = 112 \2 = 56 degrees.
This does check.

An angle is 12 less than one half of its supplement. What is the supplement?

Let the angle be A

Then its supplement is 180 - A

Then: A+=+%281%2F2%29%28180+-+A%29+-+12

2A = 180 - A - 24 --------- Multiply by LCD, 2

3A = 156

A, or the angle = 156%2F3, or highlight_green%2852%29

Its supplement is therefore: highlight_green%28128%29 (180 - 52)

---------
Check
---------
The angle: 52%5Eo

Its supplement : 128+%5Eo. 1%2F2 its supplement = %281%2F2%29%2A128 or 64

As seen, the angle 52%5Eo is 12%5Eo less than half its supplement (64)
