You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How much salt must be added to 80 pounds of a 5% salt solution to make a 24% salt solution?
-----------
Equation:
salt + salt = salt
0.05*80 + x = 0.24(80+x)
---
Multiply thru by 100 to get:
5*80 + 100x = 24*80 + 24x
---
76x = 19*80
x = 20 lbs (amt of salt needed)
