SOLUTION: Hi, I need to know how to find the indicated angle measure. It says m<ABC=94, find m<CBD. So B is the vertex and there's Side BA and Side BC and in between is BD So basically <AB

Question 491691: Hi, I need to know how to find the indicated angle measure.
It says m So B is the vertex and there's Side BA and Side BC and in between is BD So basically 3x+15+x+7=94
-x -x
2x+15+7=94
2x+22=94
-22 -22
2x=72
/2 /2
x=36
But when I put 36 into the equation I got 123 and 43 and when I add up those two numbers I get 166 when its really suppose to be adding up to 94 since the whole angle equals 94.
Please tell me how I can figure this out, I really would appreciate it especially since you're taking the time to help me figure it out.
Thank you,
Laura

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x + 22 = 94
4x = 72
x = 18
3(18) + 15 + 18 + 7 = 94.
54 + 15 + 18 + 7 = 94.
It looks to me the mistake you make was on line two, you subtracted an x when you should have added.
