Question 491156: if the supplement of an angle is twenty more than twice its complement, find the original angle its complement and its supplement. Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 180-x - 20 = 2(90 -x)
180 - x -20 = 180 - 2x
160 - x = 180 - 2x
x = 20. This is the angle.
The complement is 70 degrees.
the supplement is 160 degrees.
2(70) = 160 - 20.
This does check.
