The average distance between planet Jupiter and to Sun is 6.7 *10^7mi. What is the area of the planar region swept by the line seg from the center of Jupiter to center of the sun in one orbit around the sun? The orbit is circular( A=pi*r^2 circumfrence of circle=2*pi*r) Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! What I did was take 1/2 the distance to obtain the radius.
33500000 or 3.35^7.
I squared this.
1.12 x 10^15
and multiplied this by pi.
3.53 x 10^15.
