Question 490306: In a triangle the measure of the first angle is three times the measure of the second angle.the measure of the third angle is 35° less than the measure of the second angle.what is the measure of each angle? Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I suspect you may have stated the problem incorrectly; it is possible to get the angles that result from the calculations;
The total of all the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees.
1x +3x +x - 35 = 180.
5x = 215
3x = 129 The first angle.
x = 43 The second angle.
43 -35 = 8 The third angle.
the problem with these angles is they do not satisfy the triangle inequality thereon, any two sides must be greater the third side. Angles 1 and 3 do not satisfy this criteria, please check the question.
Cleomenius.
