You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the y-intercept, first, rewrite in the slope-intercept format:
y=mx+b [Slope-intercept format where:
y = any y value of the line
m = the slope of the line
x = the corresponding x value of the line
b = the y-intercept of the line
.
x – y = 4 [Isolate the "y" in order to re-write in the slope-intercept form]
-y=-x+4
-y/-1 = -x/-1 + 4/-1 [Simplify]
y = x - 4
Slope (m) = 1
y-intercpet = -4
