Divide both side of (1) by +-3+
and add the equations
(1) -x++%2B+2y+=+-6
(2) 6x+-+2y+=+-12
+5x+=+-18+
+x+=+-18%2F5+
and
(1) -x++%2B+2y+=+-6
(1) +18%2F5+%2B+2y+=+-6+
Multiply both sides by 5
(1) +18+%2B+10y+=+-30+
+10y+=+-48+
+y+=+-24%2F5+
