Question 487899: find the coordinates of the missing endpoint if B is the Midpoint of line segment AC.
C(0,0) , B(5.-6)
I don't need you to work this problem, I just need to know how to do it. I will be cheating if you just tell me the answer.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Good attitude!
If B is the midpoint, each of it's coordinates are too.
So find each coordinate of A such that when averaged with C's result in B's.
0.5(Ax+Cx)=Bx

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
B(5,-6) has the form B(x,y)
Call the other endpoint A(x,y)
given:
+%28+x+-+0%29%2F2+=+5+
+x+=+10+
and
+%28y+-+0%29+%2F+2+=+-6+
+y+=+-12+
the other endpoint is A(10,-12)
I am just finding the midpoints
along the x-axis and then the y-axis
