odds of winning is 3:5.

odds are the probability of winning divided by the probability of losing.

if you have a total of 8 events and you win 3 and lost 5, then:

the probability of winning is 3/8
the probability of losing is 5/8
the odds of winning are 3/5
the odds of losing are 5/3
