SOLUTION: My question is this.
Angle ABD and Angle BDC are complemetary. Find the measures of both angles.
m(angle sign)ABD = 5x°,m(angle sign)=(17x-32)°
i have tried x=90-(17x-32) bu

i have tried x=90-(17x-32) but my answer need to be a number not a experssion. I have tried many ways. I have compared my answer and check the back of my book beacuse they have the correct answers. and it never mathces. I can not figure out this problem...

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Now I get the notation "m<" means "measurement of angle".
Your attempt was OK, you just forgot the 5.
5x + 17x-32 = 90
22x = 122
x = 122/22 = 61/11.
1st angle = 5*61/11;
2nd angle = 17*61/11 - 32.
Double check: they do indeed add up to 89.9999999 degrees.
