Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -5
Multiply (2) by 7
-40 x -35 y = 30
7 x + 35 y = 168
Add the two equations
-33 x = 198
/ -33
x = -6
plug value of x in (1)
8 x + 7 y = -6
-48 + 7 y = -6
7 y = -6 + 48
7 y = 42
y = 6
