the problem is:
Ryan drove his car from A to B at 81km/hr. his car broke down and he returned by bus at 54 km/hr. his total travelling time was 5 hours. How long was his trip by car?
I've tried answering it but it always come up with a wrong answer.
pls. help me solve this problem.
My equation was: 81t + 52t = 5
t = 5/133
And I don't know what to do after that.
Pls. do answer this.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let distance from A to B be "D" km
Time taken to reach from A to B = D/81 hr
Return time by bus from B to A = D/54 hr
Total travelling time
D/81 + D/54 = 5
54D + 81D = 5*81*54
135 D = 21870
D = 21870/135 = 162
Trip by Car = 162/81= 2 hrs
Ans : Trip by car Distance 162km in 2 hrs
