You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I have a problem with understanding the consecutive integers in word problems. My problem to solve is "Find three consecutive odd integers whose sum is 183.
I tried x, x+1,x+3.
But I do not think that is correct...
--------------
That not correct.
Consecutive integers --> x, x+1, x+2
Like 7, 8, 9 or 100, 101, 102
-----------------
So,
x + (x+1) + (x+2) = 183
3x + 3 = 183
3x = 180
x = 60
--> 60, 61, 62
------------------
Better is
x = middle number
(x-1) + x + (x+1) = 183
3x = 183
x = 61, etc.
-------------------
Even better:
183/3 = 61 the middle number, etc
