You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since 1/3 are pennies, your number of coins is divisible by 3.
And since you have an even number of coins, your number of coins is divisible by 6.

So you could have 2 pennies, 3 dimes, and 1 other coin, say a nickel.

You'd have an even number of coins, 6. One third of them, or 2, would be
pennies, and half of them, or 3, would be dimes.

But you could multiply all these numbers by any whole number, and the same
would be true.
-------------------------

You could have 2n pennies, 3n dimes, and n other coins, say nickels.

You'd have an even number of coins, 6n. One third of them, or 2n, would be
pennies, and half of them or 3n would be dimes.

I can call the number of coins +2n+ if the number is even
+%282n%29%2F3+ is the number of pennies and also the value of the pennies
+%281%2F2%29%2A2n+=+n+ is the number of dimes
+10n+ is the value of the dimes
The total value is +10n+%2B+%282n%29%2F3+=+%2830n%29%2F3+%2B+%282n%29%2F3+ =
+%2832n%29+%2F3+ answer
-----------------
If the number of coins is 60, +2n+=+60
+n+=+30+
The value of the pennies and dimes is ++32%2A30%2F3+=+320+ cents,
or $3.20
