Hi,
Let x,(x+2),(x+4) represent the three consecutive even integers
Question states***
x = 5(x+4) - 4
-16 = 4x
x = -4, the smallest. -4,-2,0 are the three consecutive even integers
CHECKING our Answer***
-4 = 5*0 - 4
