You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4*4 = 16 sq meters
2*16 = 32 sq meters
-----------
s%5E2+=+32
x = s - 4 meters
What's the big deal?

Hi,
Each side of a square is 4 m long, therefore A = 16m^2
When each side is increased by x, then (4+x)(4+x) = 32m^2
(4+x)(4+x) = 32m^2
16 + 8x + x^2 = 32
x^2 + 8x - 16 = 0
x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+
x+=+%28-8+%2B-+sqrt%28+128%29%29%2F%282%29+
tossing out negative solution for number of meters
x = 1.6569m

5.6569*5.6569 = 32m^2
